On October 3rd, 2023, the 'Golfing for Paralympians' event, brought together participants from all over Ontario to support the Paralympic Foundation of Canada. The Paralympic Foundation of Canada empowers and supports athletes with disabilities, enabling them to excel in their respective sports while promoting inclusivity and equal access to sports. Pier 4’s CEO, Adam Ashby, and CFO, Michael Ashby, attended the event to show their support for these athletes and contribute to the foundation.

The team at Pier 4 is dedicated to backing athletes with disabilities, ensuring they have opportunities, programs and equipment to engage in sports and compete at the highest level. During the event, Adam Ashby had an insightful discussion with a Paralympic volleyball athlete. The athlete shared videos of their sport, where they played from a seated position, using remarkable strength, highlighting their incredible skills.

This event with Paralympic athletes provided valuable insights into the challenges of these athletes and  helped raise awareness about the necessity of removing barriers to sports participation for Canadians with disabilities. It inspires us to continue our efforts, encouraging others to join us in this vital mission.
